Over May/June 2012, Arts for Health will be delivering training modules that offer artists the opportunity to refine their knowledge and practice within the arts and health sector.
Two training streams will be offered:
Each group will offer a maximum of 10 places and to be fair to applicants, people can not participate in both groups, due to numbers.
These intensives will run for 1 afternoon a week for 6 weeks and cost £120 inclusive.
Participants will explore the roots of arts and health practice in relation to the current economic and political climate, whilst refining their own practice in relation to health and social trends. There will be opportunity to hear from successful and motivational practitioners and a large component of both intensives will be practical, involving field trips and responding to a brief. All sessions will be led by Clive Parkinson, Director Arts for Health.
Previous participants have a high level of success in gaining commissions, employment and bursaries in the field.
Because of the high numbers of applicants for these intensives, and to get the right group dynamic, application for inclusion in this programme will be made through Expressions of Interest, which this year includes a short personal statement and opportunity to submit up to 4 digital images.
Completed Expression of Interest (EoI's) and any accompanying images must be received by email or post by:
